3Kw Generator
This is a high quality generator made using quality non-corrosive materials – aluminium, 316 stainless steel and copper. It is a non-cogging generator designed to ensure easy start-up for wind turbines. Generators with an iron core have a cogging effect as coils pass the magnets. This air core turbine provides a smoother start up, and gives a maximum efficiency of 94% conversion of shaft power to electricity.

In this generator design, the shaft is fixed, while the body of the generator rotates. This gives more momentum to the turbine, and provides a more solid connection between the generator and blades than you can normally get on a shaft.
The shaft can fit into a box iron section and there are three 12mm holes across the shaft to accommodate bolts for fixing.
The blades are mounted onto the rear face of the generator. The generator is supplied with a mounting plate to suit the Turbotricity hub, but you may prefer to produce your own.
